DLP A Beginning

I absolutely loved doing the DLP in 2014, and I completed every prompt and wrote a sentence or two on every day of the year. But even so, I was happy to see a changed format. And I'm loving the size of the Dylusions journal. I've used it before, but am looking forward to using it weekly, and completing all the prompts this year as well.

Here is my cover.  I stenciled it multiple times.

And my pages for the first challenge: use book paper and be your own goalkeeper. As I mentioned yesterday in our messages, I have three words for the year, and they tell a story. I kept the journaling part small and not easily read, but the words are large. The figure on the facing page is a Stencil Girl stencil by Sue Pelletiere. I never used this one before, but I think it expresses freedom and joy so perfectly. And the color was added with plain old watercolors. Who knew you could watercolor over layers of paint and matte medium? The sentiment is also a stencil, this by Jessica Sporn.
