When they arrived on Friday, we met Jacquie at South Beach for a wonderful lunch at Casa Lario's, a Cuban restaurant owned by Gloria Estefan.
After that, we went on a walking tour of the deco district with a tour guide hired by Jacquie.
We spent the weekend in my studio working on Donna Downing's metamorphosis project which was AWESOME!! (Pat has pictures of this she can share!)
Pat did most of the cooking and not only made delicious healthy food but also showed me some great recipies.
Jacquie came over Saturday and Monday and we had such a great time. Thank you Pat and Eileen for coming down for a play date!!
The visit with Elena & Jacquie was a real treat. Not only did we get to see the sights of South Beach, we got to play in Elena's studio, witness her animal kingdom, and met her nephew from Cuba who will forever be known to me as Little Manelito. (Jose Carlos may be his real name, but Pinky said it's OK to call him that.)
ReplyDeleteYou can tell from the photos what a fun weekend it was. The tour was wonderful, and we so enjoyed spending time with Elena, Jacquie, Bernie, Manelito, Dexter, Pinkie, Luna, Millie, Lillie, and Lucky. Oh, and Pancho. I think that's everyone. 😘
